After 15 years of success in the conventional process water treatment market Enviro-Tech Systems (ETS) has launched its new generation vertical compact flotation unit. As the industry knows separation today, horizontal designs have been the most efficient and effective, which is why ETS was reluctant to enter this market. However, after two years of Research and Development ETS believes that it has overcome some of the drawbacks of vertical flotation.

With an improved external Eductor System combined with a new recirculation design ETS has developed the state of the art vertical design. External Eductors mean simple maintenance and an improved recirculation system creates an improved bubble with more bubbles created per cross sectional area of the vessel. These two major improvements along with compartmentalizing the Eductors allows for the maximum separation in a vertical vessel, very close to the efficiencies of the traditional horizontal style. Major interest for this design has been significant with FPSO’s and deep water structures. The design includes internal motion control thus, preventing any opportunity for the mixing of collected oil with the incoming process and at the same time it offers minimum space consumption. The Enviro-Cell vertical design will make a significant impact in meeting the needs of the future process water treatment industry.
